Old Enough to Know Better

chopsticks na lang. walang candles e

24 October 2008. No travel for me this time. So I thought of celebrating with friends at our new house. The original plan was for me to spend the day pampering myself but unforeseen events prompted a sleepover. And because its a Friday, everyone agreed.

So after spending the first part of the day (12AM to be exact) washing utensils I used while preparing sushi and crema de graham and answering text messages and phone calls from family and friends who wished me well on my birthday, I spent the rest snoozing til almost noon to prepare for my anticipated appointment with the masseuse.

My visitors arrived at dinner time and the party didn't start until well after 12AM of October 25 because we had to wait for 3 more people. So most of the waiting time was spent walking around Camazotz' plaza, eating sushi and drinking coffee while Lani and Goi were glued to their favorite soap opera. So when we finally started the candle-blowing and drinking, it was already the 25th, hours past my birthday.

Nonetheless, the whole get-together was one for the books. Its been a while since we did something like this, so we talked and laughed and exchanged updates til the wee hours of the morning. If we offended our neighbors, I wouldn't know (we didn't receive any memo) and I couldn't care less. :p We were so engrossed that we didn't notice that it was already 5AM.

The day went on despite an hour's sleep for another celebration with the family. And though I was feeling on the verge of dropping to the floor because of lack of sleep, they still urged me to make sushi (they really loved it). But before I did hit the sack, I went for a haircut and a foot spa to cap my birthday celebration. :)

To those who remembered, a BIG THANKS! Hope all your wishes for me will come true. And to those who forgot, like I always say, there's always next year... And if you want to know how old I am, please refer to this album's title. :)

Creative Ways To Play PS2

One Monday morning, my sister and I left my brother and his friends sleeping in the living room of our house during one of their weekend visits to us. They spent the night and the rest of the early morning watching movies and playing PS2. They left us a thank you note scrawled in 3/4 roll of tissue and we found the house in order. A week after, these photos surfaced on their friendster accounts. Can't help but post it here, nakakatuwa kasi. I can't believe they thought of this concept for a photo-op.
